Benjamin, administrator of B2C Group, presents his company, which includes several entities such as B2C Engineering and B2C Consulting. Based in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, the company specializes in integrating software solutions for industry, particularly in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food sectors. B2C Group offers solutions for managing production units, including machine scheduling, control, and production reporting.
The challenges before Odoo
Before adopting Odoo, B2C used a combination of disconnected software, including Excel spreadsheets and an accounting program that were not interoperable. This lack of integration made project, sales, and financial management very complex and time-consuming. Teams constantly had to redo tasks to obtain financial statements or project reports, which was repetitive and inefficient. This fragmented management still worked for a small team but became unsustainable as the company grew rapidly from 3 to 70 people in a few years.
Why Odoo ?
B2C chose Odoo for its ability to centralize all the company's operations on a single platform. Before Odoo's implementation, Benjamin and his team struggled with multiple disconnected tools, making sales, inventory, and accounting management complex and prone to errors. According to Benjamin, "Odoo met our needs by automating our processes and centralizing all our data in one place." The flexibility and user-friendliness of the solution helped B2C improve efficiency and foster better collaboration among teams. Thanks to Odoo, the company was able to simplify its operations, improve visibility into its activities, and save time on administrative tasks.
Une adoption progressive et structurée
The integration process of Odoo was structured progressively to facilitate team adoption. This approach helped ensure a smooth transition and allowed the team to adjust to the new system gradually, making the adoption process more efficient.
- July 2022 - August 2022 : After defining the requirements, the integration began with an analysis phase, followed by the customization of applications to meet B2C Group's specific needs. In August, the first tests were conducted with the timesheet and sales modules.
- August 2022 - January 2023 : Training was conducted gradually, module by module. The teams were first trained on timesheet management, followed by other modules such as sales, purchasing, and project management. This approach allowed for smooth adoption without overwhelming the teams with too much information at once.
- January 2023 - Present : Starting in January 2023, Odoo was fully deployed, and B2C Group began to benefit from its advanced features, with centralized, real-time management of finances, projects, and operations.
The Benefits After Odoo: Simplified Management
The transition to Odoo was seen as a radical change for the company. Real-time data centralization now allows B2C to generate instant reports on projects, finances, and overall operations without having to sift through numerous documents or Excel files. The ability to access this information in real time has improved responsiveness and decision-making within the company. Teams appreciate Odoo's ease of use, which replaced outdated and cumbersome tools with an intuitive and fast solution.
Support and continuous improvements with the integrator
Nalios, the Odoo integration agency, was crucial throughout the project. From the outset, Nalios was attentive to B2C Group's specific needs, providing a thorough business analysis. This collaboration continued during the integration phase, with continuous adjustments and improvements to ensure the tool met the company’s evolving requirements. Today, B2C Group continues to work with Nalios to optimize its processes, add new features, and take advantage of the latest Odoo updates.
